The club has already allocated a substantial sum of 63.5 million pounds to secure a 25-acre site and is actively pursuing the development of the new venue. The completion of the new stadium is anticipated to be reached by the mid-2030s. However, a significant portion of the club's fan base has voiced their opposition to the new stadium project. Edwards, who served the club for a remarkable 22 years from 1980 to 2002, also publicly expressed his disapproval of the proposed stadium.
